Topic 6 – Innovative approaches for analysing raw materials value chains
We are interested in joining a consortium under Topic 6 as an SME partner contributing to the analysis of raw materials value chains and territorial resource flows. We can lead or co‑lead tasks related to resource‑flow data analysis, ontology design, data standardisation, and interoperability across heterogeneous databases.
We can design and compute indicators that describe sourcing patterns, uses by sector, exposure to specific suppliers or territories, and historical trends in material flows, in order to support robust dependency and resilience analyses for decision-makers. We are also able to explore substitution pathways and scenarios using historical data to identify realistic options and transition trajectories.
Our added value lies in structuring multi-scale and cross-border territorial data, including the definition of coherent territorial hierarchies and data models that can be reused across case studies. We are open to collaborating with research organisations, public authorities, and industrial partners. While we do not intend to coordinate a consortium, we aim to play an active technical and methodological role, with clear deliverables on data architectures, analysis frameworks, and tool deployment.
We are a French SME specialised in territorial data engineering and resource-flow analysis, also known as territorial metabolism.
Our core activity is the design of territorial observatories that integrate data, indicators, and visualisation tools to support long-term, evidence-based decision-making. We rely extensively on GIS and spatial analysis to reveal patterns, dependencies, and opportunities at multiple territorial scales.
Over the past ten years, we have developed dedicated methods and a software library for analysing resource flows and value chains. Both methods and tooling are grounded in academic research, including the PhD work of our co‑founder at the University of Strasbourg, and are already deployed in operational contexts, including cross-border studies.
Dynartio combines strong expertise in data modelling with a deep understanding of industrial ecology and the circular economy. We place particular emphasis on data standardisation, ontology design, and the interoperability of distributed data systems. Our tools are Open Source, and can be reused and extended across territories and partners.
