Topic 3 – Efficient and effective use of raw materials in design and production
CatAmmon is seeking European partners across the following areas to advance industrial validation and scale-up of its nano-ceramic catalytic platforms under Topic 3:
1) Specialty chemical companies and washcoat manufacturers with experience in catalytic converter formulation, to support the integration of CatAmmon's nano-ceramic materials into existing washcoat production processes.
2) Ceramic and catalyst manufacturers with industrial-scale production capabilities, to co-develop scale-up pathways from laboratory formulations toward high-volume manufacturing.
3) Automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers willing to conduct functional pilots and real-world performance validation of PGM-reduced catalytic converters, particularly in the context of Euro 7 compliance.
4) Engineering companies and project developers active in ammonia cracking and hydrogen production, to explore CrackAmmon's application in green hydrogen supply chains.
5) Research institutions and universities equipped with gas conversion testing infrastructure, particularly facilities capable of measuring CO and NOx catalytic performance, to support independent validation and characterization of our catalyst systems.
CatAmmon brings IIA (Israel Innovation Authority) funding eligibility as the Israeli consortium partner and is open to leading or joining an existing consortium.
CatAmmon (Israel) develops nano-ceramic catalytic platforms that reduce industrial dependence on Platinum Group Metals (PGMs), among the most critical raw materials on the EU's CRM list. Our platform CerAmmon reduces PGM loading in automotive catalytic converters by 50% while maintaining full emissions compliance, directly addressing the redesign challenge facing OEMs under Euro 7. Our second platform, CrackAmmon, fully eliminates ruthenium from ammonia cracking catalysts used in green hydrogen production. Both solutions are drop-in compatible with existing industrial processes. The technology is patent-protected, grounded in five years of academic R&D, and has been recognized internationally including as a global finalist in the Temasek Foundation Liveability Challenge 2025
