We are a team of interdisciplinary social science researchers interested in joining or co-developing a consortium on Topic 5.
Our expertise lies in legal and policy analysis, environmental governance, stakeholder engagement, social acceptance, and multi-level public administration. We have experience conducting research focusing on understanding and addressing the regulatory, institutional, and societal conditions that enable or hinder the transition to a circular economy.

We can contribute with comparative analyses of legal and regulatory frameworks, assessment of policy and governance barriers to circularity, evaluation of CRMA implementation challenges and opportunities, and the development of policy recommendations for EU, national, regional, and local decision-makers.

We also bring extensive experience in designing and facilitating stakeholder dialogues, co-creation processes, participatory workshops, and engagement strategies involving citizens, businesses, public authorities, and other relevant actors.
We have worked across a variety of sectors, including textiles, batteries, plastics, energy systems, and wastewater, giving us a strong capacity to address diverse circular economy challenges.

The Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA) is Norway’s leading research institute in the fields of water and environmental sciences, with extensive experience in developing evidence bases, analytical frameworks, and decision-support tools for both the public and private sectors. The institute has a strong social science team comprising legal scholars, economists, political scientists, anthropologists, and experts in governance and public administration, working alongside leading natural science researchers. This interdisciplinary combination makes NIVA particularly well positioned to understand and analyse the complex interactions between the environment, society, regulatory frameworks, and governance systems.
