Topic 2 – Targeting secondary sources to enhance access to raw materials
We are looking to join or co-create a transnational consortium led by a European Coordinator. We seek partners from EU Member States or Associated Countries (including universities, research centers, and industrial actors, particularly from circular economy leaders) to submit a collaborative project.
We offer extensive expertise and state-of-the-art facilities for:
• Synthesis & Functionalization: Multi-walled (MWCNT) and few-walled (FWCNT) carbon nanotubes, Graphene via CVD, Graphene Oxide (GO), and Reduced Graphene Oxide (rGO).
• Smart Materials & Composites: Development of nano-structured polymeric matrices (Epoxy, Polyurethane, UHMWPE), metallic alloys, and sustainable cement/clinker composites for construction.
• Advanced Sensing: High-sensitivity gold nanorods and nanosensors for real-time condition and structural monitoring.
• Environmental Solutions: Nanostructured membranes for water treatment and advanced resource recovery.
CTNano/UFMG is a premier Brazilian innovation and technology center with over 26 years of experience in nanotechnology. We are an accredited EMBRAPII Unit in Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology, bridging the gap between cutting-edge academic science and the technological demands of the industrial sector. With more than 40 patents deposited and over 150 researchers, our infrastructure is fully equipped to synthesize, functionalize, and characterize nanomaterials for large-scale industrial applications.
