Topic 2 – Targeting secondary sources to enhance access to raw materials
Timna Elements is seeking partners for collaborative projects addressing the recovery of critical and valuable metals from secondary sources, including e-waste and mining residues.
We can contribute through:
Selective recovery of copper, gold, silver and platinum group metals from complex secondary feedstocks
Development and optimisation of our proprietary leaching and extraction processes (TLeach and TExtract), operating without cyanide or solvents at ambient temperature and pressure
Process validation and scale-up from lab (TRL 4) toward pilot demonstration
Techno-economic assessment of metal recovery pathways
Integration of recovered metals back into industrial value chains
Looking for partners. We are interested in collaborating with:
Mining companies with tailings or waste streams containing recoverable silver and gold
E-waste recycling companies and processors
Feedstock partners and industrial companies able to supply secondary raw material streams (e-waste, mining residues, or related complex feedstocks) for testing and validation
Technology providers and equipment manufacturers
Pilot and demonstration hosts able to support scale-up validation
Universities and research organisations
We are open to participating either as a technology partner or as a work package leader responsible for metal recovery technologies.
Timna Elements is an Israeli deep-tech company developing advanced metal recovery technology for critical and valuable metals from secondary sources. Our proprietary TLeach and TExtract processes enable selective recovery of copper, gold, silver and platinum group metals at over 99% purity, with significantly lower environmental impact than conventional methods — no cyanide, no solvents, ambient temperature and pressure operation.
Our technology has been developed and validated on two core application areas:
E-waste: recovery from e-waste streams that are 10–20x richer in copper and 40–800x richer in gold than typical ore
Mining tailings: recovery of copper, silver and gold currently lost in existing mining and SX-EW operations
