Topic 3 – Efficient and effective use of raw materials in design and production
Akyüz Plastik is seeking to join an existing or currently forming RAMP 2026 Topic 3 consortium as a Turkish industrial SME and industrial demonstration partner.
We are interested in the development and industrial validation of resource-efficient polymer products, focusing on reduced raw-material consumption, lightweight and sustainable product design, alternative and sustainable polymer solutions, recyclability, product and mould optimisation, and injection-moulding validation.
Our initial industrial demonstrator is a new family of food-contact cheese moulds. The R&D concept aims to optimise material use and product geometry while maintaining or improving mechanical, drainage and pressing performance and ensuring compliance with food-contact requirements.
Akyüz can contribute product and application know-how, product/mould requirements, industrial validation, food-contact use cases and commercialisation capabilities.
We are particularly interested in joining a consortium with complementary expertise in sustainable/secondary polymer materials, polymer engineering, CAE/simulation, material characterisation, LCA and circular product design.
Given the 22 September 2026 pre-proposal deadline, we are particularly interested in existing or currently forming consortia where a Turkish industrial SME and demonstrator is still required.

Akyüz Plastik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. is an established Turkish plastics company with extensive experience in the development and commercialisation of injection-moulded plastic products for household, kitchen, HORECA, industrial and food-contact applications.
Akyüz has previous experience as an industrial partner in EU-funded collaborative R&D projects, including the FP7 FUTURESME and DEROCA projects.
