Topic 1 - Ensuring a resilient supply of raw materials from primary sources
We are a consortium of three partners (two French, one Austrian) preparing a RAMP JTC 2026 pre-proposal under Topic 1, built around explainable AI for mineral exploration targeting. Our approach detects anomalies and prospective areas by mineral-system signature from multi-source geoscience data — geochemistry, geology and structural data, geophysics, remote sensing and documented mineral occurrences. It has already been proven on a regional case study in France. The project aims to transfer and validate the method on additional European territories with different metallogenic contexts, and to deliver a cross-country transferability protocol, harmonised multi-country exploration datasets and explainable prospectivity maps for critical raw materials (Li, W, Sn, Cu, U, REE, Ni-Co).
To complete the consortium, we are looking for an additional partner eligible for funding under the call and based in a participating country other than France or Austria. Ideal profiles: a national geological survey, university or research organisation holding regional exploration datasets (geochemistry, geophysics, geological mapping, mineral occurrence databases) and willing to act as data provider and validation territory; alternatively, an exploration company, mining operator or geoscience software SME interested in testing the method on its own targets. Partners will lead the data and validation work on their territory and co-author the transferability study.
If your profile does not match these ideal partners but you believe you can still bring added value to the consortium (complementary data, expertise, use cases or end-user perspective), please reach out as well, we are open to discussing it. Given the 22 September 2026 deadline, we need to confirm partners within the coming days, so please contact us directly.
Maestria Innovation is a French AI consulting and engineering SME founded in 2019, based in Nantes and Rennes, with a team of around ten engineers and AI PhDs. The company is accredited for the French research tax credit (CIR) and holds Young Innovative Company (JEI) status. Maestria designs and delivers custom AI solutions for industrial and scientific clients, from diagnosis and proof of concept to validated, documented models. In the raw materials field, Maestria has developed an end-to-end AI pipeline for exploration data.
